The weekend with books
Dec. 17th, 2006 10:02 amOn Friday I worked until 11:00, and then went to pick up Udi from the train station. His hair grew a bit, and his hands are completely chapped, with blood on them... It took my mom a long time to convince him to use ointment to try and heal it. He said it would get him out of kitchen-duty...
After dropping Udi and his friends off at home I headed to the sale held by Yediot-books, since they're moving their warehouse. I walked around picking books, and managed to limit myself to four books. After 40 minutes of standing in line I had six books... Well, it was fun. I bought a cooking book and five other novels (two of them I've already read during the weekend... Fun!).
Michali and Eyal came for lunch on Friday, and afterwords everyone took off, leaving me alone at home with one sleeping Udi. I watched a bit of television, read a bit and fell asleep on the sofa 'till 1:00 a.m., when I dragged myself to bed.
On Saturday morning I woke at 10:00, feeling quite refreshed. My mom made pancakes and I sat down to read some more. Michali and Eyal came over again for Chulnt (yuck, but it's Udi's favorite). I made herb salad again (without pine nuts - we had none) and salmon with asian sauce. Had a great lunch. Spent most of my afternoon reading and listening to music. When the evening drew, I mentioned to my mom she promissed sufganiot, and she said she was too tired. A few puppy faces, a walk with the dogs and clearing up the dish-washer managed to persuade her... Me and my dad watched "The truth about cats and dogs" and "Pirates of the carribeans" (in which I fell asleep half-way through). I went to bed at 00:00.
