Orna Nener, the editor of "Laisha" magazine, has written a story she heard from her friend Dorin:

Dorin's father has organized a trip for his entire family - they would go to a ski resort in Austria. Instead of flying to Vienna and go by train, the father insisted of flying to Zurich and go by train from there, even though it prolonged the trip, the family didn't argue - it was, after all, a gift he was giving them.

When they were approaching the Austrian border, Dorin's father became very agitated and nervous, and asked all his companions to hand him their passports. They tried to argue but he insisted, so they handed him all their passports and he sat down waiting. When the officer from the border arrived the father handed him the stack of passports. The officer got confused, it was a big stack, and he said something to the father in german. The father answered him in german, which led to the officer to gaze at him for a long moment, awestruck, and then he handed him back the passports and took off.

When Dorin asked her father what he said to the officer, he said "You tried to get rid of me when I was one person, but I returned as seventeen people".

Chills ran down my spine when I read it.

"You tried to be rid of me when I was one person, and now I return as seventeen."

I think that was the misunderstanding.

Sorry, the translation was a bit off - Hagar said it as it should've been.
