A text from Eyal yesterday: "I have a surprise for you"

He bought me a bunch of Macaroon cookies in "Mazarin".

Happiness!

Second session about china last night wasn't as good as the first - the first two lectures were quite dull, the first about Mau Tze Dung and the second about the army in his days (the duller than the two). The third lecture, however, was presented by a young enthusiastic woman and dealt with the station of the woman in Mau's days as ruler of China, with the Communist party. I enjoyed the lecture very much, and it seemed to have woken up half the crowd (which was dosing off slightly...)

After the lecture ended Michali and I went to meet Eyal in his parents' house and headed to have a cup of coffee (or ice-tea, in my case) in "Cafe Henrietta" close by. I was rude and ate a few of the cookies right then and there, but the place deserved it - it took them a few good minutes to pay attention to us standing (because there was only two chairs around our table) and it took them a few more good minutes to fetch our drinks (how long does it take to make two cups of coffee and an ice-tea?!?!). We didn't stay long, and left to go home after ten minutes (Eyal bluntly refused to let me pay).

Had work this morning but Motty didn't show up so I had time after finishing the usual stuff to sit down, listen to Pandora and read. Plus, Navot called and we had a 30-minutes talk about a cool idea he has.

It's really hot outside, and I'm still wearing a sweater (haven't had the boost to get up and change it). I'm meeting Avihu tonight to go have dinner at "Edisson". Joy!

There weren't just yummy, they were positively sinful...

I have no idea how much he payed for them (it can't be too little, though, it's one of the best bakeries in Israel). It's in Hamaskit st., number 32 in Herzlia, no problem whatsoever to get them... :)

Bummer... Well, whenever you're in Herzlia, or you can ask someone to bring you some... I've heard about Mazzarin about three months ago and have only came to taste their stuff now, so... BTW - where do you live?
