Stuff from the weekend and more... stuff.

I had my mind set on taking my parents out on Saturday night, but they were very reluctant. My mom sat on the sofa, half dozing off, and waved away the idea we go have something at "Max Brenner". It took me a great deal of persuading both her and my dad (who was still dressed in sweat-pants from his nap) to get off their butts and through the door. We finally went out of the house and we headed to Max in Rishon. When we got there we noticed the bad parking situation, so we parked quite far off and walked the way to the entrance. The entrance was packed, and even though I could see vacant spots on the outside the hostess said there was a queue even for the outside seats. We gave up (I was all for waiting, but my mom just shook her head and walked away). All of a sudden my sister calls and says they are going out, so my dad had her make reservations at "Marmoreck Cafe" in Tel Aviv (it so wasn't necessary - the place was 3/4 empty when we arrived), and we headed there instead. Most of us had hamburgers (mine was made out of soy beans), and we left feeling nice and full.

Made truffle batter last night (and will have to make more towards the weekend - I have many clients) and will have to roll them tonight if I want to bring any to work tomorrow.

I just had lunch and I'm feeling full...
