Tuesday night was pretty annoying. I was planning on getting out of work early, catch the 18:00 o'clock bus and be home at 18:45-19:00 tops.
Funny.
My boss decided to stay late. I finished my things at 17:40-ish, but couldn't leave. I had a long and annoying call from an angry subscriber who kept me on line even after my boss left. When I headed out I forgot my umbrella so I had to go fetch it, and of course, when I got out it was really raining heavily (and when I got out it grew heavier substantially. Seems the rain knew I was angry...). I went to the door and the rain grew even more heavy, leaving me with a dillema - should I try to run for it, maybe still catch the early bus? I did. I was wrong. I only managed to cross one path of the road (gave up on the bridge - it would have rained there even more heavily, and the wind would probably pick up I thought) and the light turned red. Stood for about five minutes, not even noticing my bus going by until the light turned again. By then I was quite wet, but since I had my high-heeled boots on, and since they go up to my knees, my feet were still dry. I crossed the street and when I got to the road coming out of the Kirya I stopped. A freaking river was flowing there. I had no way around it, so I gritted my teeth and crossed with a few large steps. By the time I was across my feet were also moist. Fucking shite.
The bus was late. I stood in the rain for 40 minutes before it came. I was furious as hell, but at least I had a place to sit on and a cute guy to look at. SMSed Hagar and Efrat and got to talking with Hagar on sms. After she waited a long while as well she said I jinxed her... Got home at 19:30 to a very welcoming mom with burekas. After I took a quick shower I was much better, and I went to sleep fairly early.
Wednesday morning brought upon us all (meaning, me and my stomach) the wonderfulness of period pains. Been cramping all day, with no response to Optalgin, my last line of defense. Rule - if, on a first day of my period some kind of pain killers doesn't work, it won't work for the rest of that period, even if I try something else. So, I'll be in pain for the rest of the five upcoming days. Yey.
As the day went I grew more annoyed. At 17:45 Lily and I went to the Hotel where we drew a goodbye dinner to one of our directors. It was really nice, though took longer then I expected so I was in a bit of a hurry. I got home and immediately left, picked up Efrat and went to watch a movie. We saw "Casino Royal", and I really didn't like the end of the movie. Oh, well. Got home at 1:15 and went straight to bed.
Got up at 7:45, after my mom woke me up. God, I hated that she did that - I've been getting myself up for the last ten years or more, for christ sake, I know when to get up. She thought I was to be late, but I only start at ten, so 8:00 seems like the right time to get up, no? Anyway, couldn't go back to sleep So I went to be miserable at the bathroom, when my mom started bombarding me with questions through the door. After answering a few I told her I had woken up a minute ago, so leave me alone for a second. After I got out and ate and showered I saw her on the corridor and she said it was very nice to be shouted at first thing in the morning, and that "I'm good for making food and driving and stuff, but I also get shouted at". I thought she was exaggerating a bit, but lrft it alone. When I left she didn't say goodbye, though she was on the phone. Drama, Drama, Drama.
Got to work a bit early, and will leave early as well, even if it kills me.
I have four more hours to streach, and then home for the weekend. Though Udi is coming and we are making him a birthday party so I'll have a lot of cooking to do.
Speaking of birthdays, I still haven't gotten a birthday present from my parents. It kinda sucks. My birthday was in May.
Funny.
