We order stands for our newspapers from a company called nili, and my new boss wanted me to stop ordering from them because he wanted a better price, and the stands are not of the highest quality etc' etc'. I haven't the slightest problem with it, he is my boss, and all the sector-managers (we have five sectors - north, sharon, dan, south and negev) where notified. They were all quite bitter (they always need more stands), but had nothing to do since he is their boss as well. I should note that all orders from nili go through me, because I'm in charge of distributing the stands when they are ready to the right sectors, I have to order proper stickers and just need to know about it, because I keep track of the stands.
Yesterday I get a call from nili about something stupid, and than the woman tells me I have an order there. Huh? I haven't placed an order in two months, so she checks, and the one who made the order is Ilan, my new boss... I call him, and he goes "Yeah I've ordered the stands last week..." I was so fucking annoyed. You couldn't pick up the phone and say so? I need to know about it. So Lily saw I got angry and I told her all about it and she said she'll tell him off when he comes, and added that he was a bone-head. He will not stay here for long, I know that for a fact.
Today comes, and I get a lot of calls about our new campaign, and one guy started yelling at Orit, and then I took the call - he was convinced there was a conspiracy (he didn't use that word - too big for his baboon-sized-brain) that only people who are subscribed to the paper can win. I tell him it's not this way, that there is a raffle, but he says "I've been following it for years, you're lying, bla bla bla bla bla...." At this moment Lily took the cal, after saying what I've said five time and making sure he's not really into listening but only wants to shout she said she was not willing to continue the conversation like that and hung up on him. Some people are just so frustrated they'll take it out on anyone.
I went to a movie premiere with my sister - "Little Children", directed by Tedd Fields. I got the ticket from Shlomit here at the paper, who got the ticket but didn't want to go. I liked the movie, though it ends without real movement in the characters' life, but only in their perception of their life. It's a movie where humans show their ugliest characteristics - sexual abuse, prejedice, betrayel next to the one human trade that wins over almost everything - compassion. It's not a light movie, but it's a good one.
