A question

A question to my non-Israeli friends - Have you ever sat in a cafe or other place and someone walked up to you and asked you to watch his/her bag while they were in the bathroom or went to buy something or something similar? I seriously want to know.

it has been a very long time since that has happened, but yes. and i've asked the same of others. again, not for a very long time though.

i'm not sure if it's more of the .... don't trust anyone you don't know mentality, or if we've adopted the israeli suspicious package thing or what. on the other hand, i still freak out (just a little, and in my head) when i see an unattended bag/box in public.
