Apr. 16th, 2006 09:35 amIt's Sunday morning, middle of April. It's raining. It's been raining all night, I heard it when I woke up every now and then. I had such weird dreams, even I was amazed. There's a convention for fantasy and sci-fi here in Holon, and I think I'll go with my cousin (who is a total freak of these things. I just like them, and am a freak of HP).
I was in a foul mood yesterday, having done something quite stupid (It needed to be done, I had to do it, but it was still stupid), but the things I relay on to pick me up worked, as they always do (T.V., music, a good book), so I went to bed feeling better
This week is a total vacation - not even Perach to go to, but next week is the Holocaust memorial day, and it's evening is in a day I have Perach. I'll explain, the jewish calender says that the day changes not at midnight but when you can see three stars out, meaning if you are two people born on the same christian day, but on two different jewish ones it means one of you was born after three stars has appeared in the heavens. So memorial day starts a day before, and we have to have something a bit different for this day, because we can't just tell them to play Monopoly. The next week is the exact same thing with The IDF casualties memorial day, so again... Two weeks of complete seriousness, heart-breaking stories and depression on the center.
The fact the the IDF casualties memorial day is one day before our independence day is also a thing to see, because in two minutes everyone changes. I like that change, but it's hard, especially to people who have known that loss (my dad lost his best friend in the Yom Kippur War, and several other friends as well), and I can tell it's hard on him.
I think I'll go have some breakfast, but our bread is not that great... Ah, well, the best alternative I have is a Matza with chocolate spread on it (Hashahar, I don't like Notela), and that's too many calories.
