I still don't like your manips. They're heavy-handed. In the case of the first one I think I managed to understand what you wanted, so I created a cousin of it which should show up in mailbox. (My main problem with it was the reds. I can fairly easily create a version that has less reds, but without the altered lighting.) I also touched up SG04, because the greyness of the colours annoyed me. As for the second edited photo, i'm not sure what you wanted to say. I think the problem is that you're trying, with the two limited tools you have, to create more complex effects so obviously it doesn't look right.
