Well, the book thing I've already written about (having spilled soda on on my DH book, and Ika the bitch who mocked me for getting angry about it), but the day continued to be not-so-great.
I had plans with Mel, but she said she wasn't feeling well, so I made up my mind to go see the movie we were planning on by myself. Left work to a green light that turned into red, and then to see my bus go by.
Oh. Fuck.
A bit more luckily, the later bus came early, so I only had to wait for a few minutes in the humid heat of Tel Aviv. Arrived home at about 18:30 and told my mom about the book.
She was less than helpful.
She said it means I should have given it to whomever it was that asked to borrow it, like I really needed that! She had a hard day herself, going with my grandma to have my grandma's shot in the eye, so I didn't say a lot. I was pretty hungry, but since I wanted to leave early I didn't make myself anything.
I left the house at about 19:30 and headed to the Tel Aviv harbor.
I made it to the harbor at 30 minutes, having entered the more distant parking lot and avoiding the masses of cars and made my winding way on the seaside. The harbor is a gorgeous place now that they finished the renovations, and was packed with people. My first goal was to find where was the movie showed, which I did after 15 minutes. After that I walked around to "The House on the Harbor" where there are a few really pretty designer shops. I have already made up my mind to buy myself a present, so I found a beautiful new wallet in one of the shops there.
I was planning on going to buy something to eat in "Aroma" when my mom called and said that my sister, her husband and my dad were planning on going out so if I want to go with them. I had a feeble little attempt to worm out of it, but my mom doesn't take "no" as an answer, so I said I'd go with them, and I called Michali to find a place, and she said they'd come to the harbor, but it was to take them some time, so I went quickly to "Aroma", bought myself a little something to eat and a diet coke and went to the movie, even though I knew I wasn't going to see it through. I sat and laughed (and recited most of the words) for an hour before my dad called and told me to meet them near "Agadir". I ducked out of my placed just in time to hear the chinese guy saying (reading from Bruce Willis' message) "You are fired!" with such enthusiasm I laughed half the way down the deck.
We ate at "Agadir", which is a burger place (I had the vegi burger) and I showed Michali the wallet I got and she told me about the kick-ass score she got in her latest (and very difficult) test. We got home a bit after 00:00, by that time I was comfortable and sleepy. I fell asleep quite quick.
This morning I woke to find my book in a better shape (I blow-dried it yesterday, and then stuck it between two big books on my shelf so it's very condenced), but I still left it at home. Hopefully it'll be fine, and if it won't... Well, I don't know.
Motty just came in, so I'll have something to do.
