Party stuff and other stuff
Dec. 21st, 2006 11:54 amI spent last night cooking. I made chocolate truffles, Halva cookies and wine-punch. This morning I rolled the truffles in cocoa powder. My mom ticked me off this morning (I should have had the car and I don't - she forgot) but I can't say much because she's helping me with the food for today.
Funny anecdote: I brought my lunch-box today. It's in the shape of a baby-blue small suitcase with the picture of the monkey by Paul Frank. It makes almost everyone who see it laugh. On my way here I had the box on my lap, with the side facing the bus window. In one of the time we stopped on a red light another bus stopped besides us, and in his back row two little girls were sitted. They looked at the box and got excited, and I started laughing, so they made a funny face at me and I stuck my tongue out at them. I really was amused. Later the two buses stopped next to each other a second time. This time I waved at the two girls and they waved at me. A sweeter way to open my morning than the thing with my mom.
I brought Lily and Orit Halva cookies for each, and I brought Lily her birthday party (she doesn't celebrate, and she was a bit annoyed we mentioned it, but she vey much loved what I made her, and Orit brought her something as well).
Now, a Lily quote: "I've earned each and every year honestly, but not everyone needs to know how many years I've earned..."
Eating a coffee candy. Yum.
