The week of the book
Jun. 9th, 2006 12:40 amMy ultimate fun - to wonder around for hours in book carts, buying half of what I want and double what I can afford... The Week of the Hebrew Book is here, and I spent it in three different locations - Holon, Tel Aviv and Kfar Saba. A record even for me. Went yesterday with my mom, got out with 3 books for myself, and today went with Hagar and got out with 4 more.. My mom would kill me. Anyway, we wondered around Tel Aviv's place where they held the event (it's a lot of little stands with books on them), the biggest one in the country I think, and of course we both hung around the stands the other one disliked (with the exception of sci-fi and fantasy)... While we were going towards the exit Roy calls Hagar and asks her if she wanted to meet him in Arim Mall (in Kfar Saba, where there are stands of... Books), and I said "I'm coming too", so basically I invited myself with great Hutzpa, but all went well, because Roy was happy to see us both, and after Hagar finished lecturing the people in the sci-fi stand about what they were selling we went for a cup of coffee and some food, and talked and laughed about really weird things.
Here's the thing - it doesn't matter how much Roy can annoy me, when I meet him I always like him. The flirting between us has gotten to a point when Hagar said "Just go on a date" and Roy decided I'm to pretend to be his girlfriend to take some stalker-girl off his back. I don't believe I have ever been so scarlet in my life. I'm such a prude, but, yeah, this is getting to a point where things can get... Well, meaningful. I'm confused, but when I think about it, it feels good.
