Friday-fucking-morning
May. 18th, 2007 10:44 amSlept really badly last night - had a mosquito buzzing in my ear all the time. Mel slept just as badly. I was pretty glad the morning came, even though I'm really tired. Organized myself towards the 7:12 train, only I found out my cell wasn't accurate.
I missed the train.
I wanted to blow something up.
I sat on the platform for an hour until the next train came, reading. I finished "The whale from Babylon" on the train, and was very annoyed by the ending - it just didn't end! I knew it was only the first of a series, but books usually end in a sort of way to make you a little bit satisfied until the next one comes. Annoying.
The train arrived at 8:45 at Hashalom station, which meant I was already 45 minutes late for work, so I decided that a few more minutes won't matter, so I bought myself a croissant at "Roladin". Was annoyed as hell by the time they took my order - they work so fucking slowly there, it's amazing.
I, again, wanted to blow something up.
Got to work at almost 9:00 (which means I'll only go home at 12:00), and was asked by my mom to fetch a newspaper for Michali and for grandpa. The thing is, the papers are super heavy today, so I'll be with all of my over-night stuff and three papers (Yediot and Ma'ariv for grandpa, Yediot for Michali), and other stuff I left yesterday at the office.
I still want to blow something up.
I finished all my work, so I'm slouching off listening to music until 12:00, when I'll drag my sorry ass out with have the world in my hands (I know I'm whining)
Hopefully I'll be able to download the last episode of "Gilmore Girls" *snif*
and "Veronica Mars" before the weekend ends.
Have had a very long and busy week at work, Lily going on holiday on Sunday and us having to finish all the preparations for the Shavu'ot give-away for soldiers we have every holiday and the convention on Monday (which, again, I will have to attend... ARG!!!)
You had Time
how can I go home
with nothing to say
I know you're going to look at me that way
and say what did you do out there
and what did you decide
you said you needed time
and you had time
you are a china shop
and I am a bull
you are really good food
and I am full
I guess everything is timing
I guess everything's been said
so I am coming home with an empty head
you'll say did they love you or what
I'll say they love what I do
the only one who really loves me is you
and you'll say girl did you kick some butt
and I'll say I don't really remember
but my fingers are sore
and my voice is too
you'll say it's really good to see you
you'll say I missed you horribly
you'll say let me carry that
give that to me
and you will take the heavy stuff
and you will drive the car
and I'll look out the window making jokes
about the way things are
how can I go home
with nothing to say
I know you're going to look at me that way
and say what did you do out there
and what did you decide
you said you needed time
and you had time
One good thing - as the train stopped at Merkaz station, I looked out of the window into the Ayalon stream channel (it used to be a real stream, but we dried up all the water in this country in the name of progress, and now it's more mud than a stream, except in the winter, when it used to flood the highway on it's sides), and saw a bunch of walking things. It took me a minute to understand (also because of the dirty window), that it was a mother duck with three little ducklings. She was leading them inside of all the tire marks who got wet and dry over and over again, and they were so cute!!!
