Orit's mother passed away last night. Orit was my co-worker a while ago, as she worked instead of Racheli who was on maternity leave. I knew her mom was very sick, but it still caught me a bit off-guard. I talked to her and she sounds really devastated, and I can't blame her, even though her mom was suffering for a long time now. I can't go to the funeral (it's today, at 13:30, and I'm at work without a car), but I'll go to the Shiv'a this week. *sigh*

Life is short.

On happier news, I found out today that there are good chances Tori Amos will come here to perform in the summer, as a part of her new tour. I won't be able to go to the show though - I'll still be in England... Quite the frustration. I have no idea why it bothers me so much - I'll see her in London, so it's not like I'm going to miss out on anything, but... Oh, well, I'm just being petty - I will see her perform, and I will also have a great trip after. Her supposed performance date (I say "supposed" because until I don't see it on her website I don't take it as true) is July 21st, which is also the release date of DH, and two days' before we come back to Israel. Well, I'll wait and see what goes on with it.

I can't help but think of what would have happened if I weren't going to England - a huge scream and hopping around the house like a maniac... :)
