Yeah, I saw a less-hysterical, more facts-oriented reports of the situation over at ataniell92's. Basically, there are two seperate situations here:
1. Untrue rumor: fandom communities and LJs are being permanently suspended. 2. LJs and communities with words such as "paedophily", "incest", "rape" and "beating people up" in their interests are being permanently suspended. This is true. While it's generally a good idea, it's also idiotic 'cause they're going blanket about it, suspending also innocent RPG journals.
Just read the last couple public posts at ataniell93's LJ; she gives a pretty up-to-date, accurate running report on the situation.
